Medical Malpractice
"Medical malpractice" is perhaps more accurately called "medical negligence". In cases in which an injury has occurred during the course of medical care, medical negligence is proved if the injured person or his/her family shows that the patient has been harmed by the actions or inactions of a doctor, nurse, therapist, chiropractor, hospital or clinic.
To successfully proceed in a medical negligence case, a patient must prove the following elements:

  • The healthcare provider acted negligently
  • An injury occurred
  • The negligent act played a substantial part in causing the injury

Personal Injury / Accident
Personal injury or wrongful death claims arise from many different situations: automobile accidents, falls, construction accidents and on-the-job injuries, just to name a few. Since these cases almost always involve dealings with insurance companies, it is important for a claimant to be represented by lawyers who are known to these companies as being experienced and credible.
